A report on Thursday claimed the 28-year-old had approached Arsene Wenger over the possibility of re-joining the Gunners but he insists there is no truth to the story
Samir Nasri has rubbished speculation suggesting that he asked Arsene Wenger if he could return to Arsenal.
A report on Thursday claimed the France international had made contact with his former boss to find out if there were any possibility of coming back to the Emirates Stadium, only to be told that the Gunners are well stocked with attacking midfielders.
But Nasri - who has won two Premier League titles with Manchester City since leaving Arsenal in acrimonious circumstances in the summer of 2011 - insists he is not unsettled at the Etihad Stadium and there is no truth to the story.
"Never asked anyone to comeback!!" he wrote on Twitter. "Really happy where i am right now so stop with your silly story."
Nasri remains an unpopular figure among Arsenal fans for the manner of his departure and Wenger has spent in excess of €90 million on attacking midfielders Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez over the last two summer transfer windows.
