Arsenal star Petr Cech insists former side Chelsea are still favourites for the Premier League
title despite their poor start to the season.
The 33-year-old completed a controversial move to the Emirates this summer when Arsene
Wenger prised the veteran away from Stamford Bridge in an £11million deal.
Cech’s former side have started the season in poor form and have already lost more games
this season than they did in the entirety of their title-winning campaign in 2014/2015.
However, the former Blue says his old side are still favourites to retain their crown at the
end of the season.
‘Their form surprises me because Chelsea are among the best in the Premier League,’ said
Cech.
‘I am no longer there, so it’s hard for me to evaluate what’s going on. Anyway, the season is
long and Chelsea are still favourites in my eyes.’
