Bayer Leverkusen striker Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez has been named Bundesliga player of the month for December, the second consecutive month that the Mexican international has received the honour.
Hernandez, 27, completed a hat trick in his side's 5-0 rout of Borussia Monchengladbach and added a goal each against Hertha Berlin and Ingolstadt.The former Manchester United man also scored in all five games that Leverkusen played in December, including a Champions League draw against Barcelona and a German Cup win over Unterhaching.He has scored 11 goals in the Bundesliga and 19 in all competitions since joining his new club in the summer.
